THIS IS THE SPORTS SPECTRUM PODCAST
WITH JASON ROMANO, FEATURING LEX LUGER
Lex Luger is a former professional wrestler with the WWE and WCW. He was a two-time WCW world heavyweight champion, and in 1993 was voted the Most Popular Wrestler of the Year by Pro Wrestling Illustrated.
Prior to his pro wrestling career, Luger was a pro football player with the Montreal Alouettes in the Canadian Football League, the Green Bay Packers in the NFL, and three different teams in the United States Football League.
Today on the podcast, Lex Luger joins us to share his journey of fame, success and emptiness in the wrestling world, and how he found true fulfillment and purpose in his relationship with Jesus. He also talks about the importance of surrounding yourself with the right people and the impact of his friendship with Sting (Steve Borden), a fellow wrestling legend. Despite facing a spinal cord injury and being in a wheelchair, Luger finds joy and strength in his faith and continues to share the Gospel through his wrestling events and speaking engagements.

Had to grab a pic with @GenuineLexLuger today. Lex’s appreciation of life is very inspiring to me. When I was younger, I was a big fan of Lex Luger the wrestler. Today, I’m a big fan of Lex Luger the man. Always great to see him! pic.twitter.com/izbPpaiuMi
