“But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners.” – Romans 5:8

I was asked a question the other day that made me really think about faith. This person asked me what I love most about God and his impact on athletes. My response was “EVERYTHING!” But he wanted a specific answer. One thing. So i said, “God will always be there for you in everything you do.” That’s something that always amazes me.

Gabby Douglas, the USA Olympic gold medalist, said “Faith plays a very big role in my life. I don’t know where I would be without it today. I’ve always been praying for everything. And my mom always exposed me and my siblings to being a Christian and the Bible. I was watching back and looking at the Olympics and my mouth is moving — and that’s me praying.”

No matter what you are going through in life, Gods loves you and will continue to always listen your prayers. When you ask for forgiveness, he grants it. When you ask for guidance, he helps you find the way. When you are lost, he helps you see. When you’re feeling weak, he will give you the strength. 

How awesome is it that we get to serve a God who loves us no matter what?
