“So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.” — Isaiah 41:10

Decision Making

July 2018 is one of the most exciting times for NBA fans around the world, thanks to free agency and teams signing new players. For many teams, the slate is clean and it’s a chance for a new beginning. These franchises can quickly turn the path of their franchise around by adding just a few players. Everyone is excited to see where all of these players are going to decide to play next.

As fans, we see these decisions as being simple. We believe players should go to a certain team so they will have a better chance of winning a championship. However, there is much more that goes into it. Players have families they would be uprooting if they leave. They’ve developed friendships with teammates, coaches, staff and members of the community. There is also a lot of money at stake that can help their family’s financial future. These are very difficult decisions for these athletes to make.

The good news is that we are not alone when making big decisions. God is right by our side to guide us. We cannot rely solely on our abilities to make these decisions or we will lose our way. If we “trust the process” of our faith, God will lead us down His path.
