The above quote is a missive applied to any situation where a person or team is facing tough opposition. It’s a tough defensive football game, and the home team needs to score one more time to win. “When the going gets tough, the tough get going.”
It could be a family situation in which a couple is facing devastating pressures to survive. “When the going gets tough, the tough get going.”
Whether a person is involved in sports, work or family situations, the quote is appropriate.
So whether it’s sports or any tough situation in life, remember that our actions are being watched by “a great cloud of witnesses.” Throw out what may hinder and “run with perseverance the race marked out for us.”
