“In the same way your Father in Heaven is not willing that any of these little ones should be lost.” — Matthew 18:14
Clear the Bases
In the game of baseball, few things can be as gut-wrenching as when your team leaves runners stranded on base. Many things have had to take place for one to three runners to get on base. When those runners are not “brought home,” pain and anguish fill the air (or airwaves for those listening or watching the game).
We all run the risk of the same being true in our walk as Christians if we are not alert to the needs of those around us. Imagine our heartbreak if we got to Heaven and were first greeted by our King, only to have His first words to us be, “My child, you were very knowledgeable about My Word and I know you loved Me, but I sent so many people into your life that I wanted you to share My Good News with. Instead, you were so caught up in your own life, you never noticed them. Sadly, you left a lot of runners on base.”
We can’t let this happen! Be alert, see the people all around you and “clear the bases.”
