“Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us…” — Ephesians 3:20

Infinitely More

God is amazing and His plan is perfect. We should never doubt His ability to take us further than we could ever imagine.

There have been times in my life when I couldn’t say those words with conviction. But now, I am amazed as I look back and recall the tough circumstances God has used to teach me that His power working in and through me can do infinitely more than I could have ever asked or believed.

There have been many defining moments in my career that have taken me further than I could have ever dreamed — simply because I learned to allow God’s power to make the difference in me and my golf game. I have learned, as the apostle Paul did, that “when I am weak, then I am strong” (2 Corinthians 12:10). Not only have I seen God’s touch on my golf but in my relationships with others as well.

So why would I want to limit God? If He is omniscient and all-powerful, then I can believe Him to do those things in my life that seem like impossible dreams to me. When we are in the middle of those difficult times, I need to believe His Word and not my negative thoughts. I need to remember that God’s Word promises to cause me to rise above my circumstances.

God has a plan for my life and it is good! He wants to partner with me in reaching for “more than we ever dare ask or imagine.” And he wants to partner with you too! Will you let Him?
