Relying Only On God
As you are reading this today, the NFL season is nearing its end, and the NBA and NHL seasons are underway. How much time are you spending watching, reading, listening or participating in sports?
God wants us to enjoy life, but He also wants us to bring honor and glory to Him each day. This must start with time on our knees and in His Word.
I have played, coached and loved a variety of sports throughout my life. In recent years, I have begun to realize my time commitment is out of balance. The more time I spend with God, the more peace, joy and love I have in my life. This is not by accident, it is truly a promise that our loving Heavenly Father has made with us! Give it a try for the next 30 days and watch what happens!
Share that challenge with your friends, family and teammates. I know you will experience what I am experiencing at this moment because God never makes a promise that He will not keep.
