Daily Devotional: Wednesday, November 24 - Blessed To Be A Blessing

“May God be gracious to us and bless us and make his face shine on us — so that your ways may be known on earth, your salvation among all nations. May the peoples praise you, God; may all the peoples praise you. May the nations be glad and sing for joy, for you rule the peoples with equity and guide the nations of the earth. May the peoples praise you, God; may all the peoples praise you. The land yields its harvest; God, our God, blesses us. May God bless us still, so that all the ends of the earth will fear him.” — Psalm 67:1-7

To be counted among those blessed by God automatically signs you up for the mission of God. We are blessed by God so that we might be a blessing to others. Since the very beginning, man’s mission has yet to change: As those who have been redeemed by God’s grace and who are now being remade into the image of God, we are to multiply and fill the earth with more men and women who are being transformed by the awesome power and love of God.

Are you so moved by God’s grace toward you that you want others to experience this amazing grace as well? Are you so in awe of the goodness of God that you want everyone around you to praise Him for His goodness too? God has blessed us in Christ, and we should now be a blessing to others through our Christlikeness.

May we live how He lived, love how He loved and teach what He taught. The day we decided to follow Jesus was the day we signed up for the mission.
