Daily Devotional: Tuesday, February 15 - Grace Is Amazing

“But he said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.’ Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.” — 2 Corinthians 12:9

I have often wondered how grace is sufficient — until I recently stood in intercession for a close friend battling in the hospital for his life. I received an urgent text: “Pray, he’s being rushed to the hospital!”

So that was my call to arms. I immediately got down on my knees and began my petition to Heaven, asking God to dispense His grace and healing virtues. As I declared Scripture over my friend and began my concert of praise, worship became my weapon and the Word of God my complementary sword. I continued to pray that God’s grace would keep him, that God’s grace would sustain him, but most importantly, that by God’s grace he would be healed.

Grace is amazing. By grace we are saved, by grace we are helped, by grace we are found humble, by grace we are justified, by grace we are rich and by grace we are imparted strength to endure trials. Grace is God’s super serum, finding its way into every part of our lives, showing up when we least expect it and doing more than we could imagine (Ephesians 3:20). God’s grace really is sufficient, abundant and powerful!

I pray that the grace of God will always be enough for you.
