THIS IS THE GET IN THE GAME PODCAST
WITH SCOTT LINEBRINK
Roy Helu Jr. played five years in the National Football League as a running back, spending four years with the Washington Redskins and one with the Oakland Raiders.
Prior to being drafted in the fourth round of the 2011 NFL Draft, Helu was a standout at the University of Nebraska, where he set the single-game rushing record with 307 yards and three touchdowns against the University of Missouri in 2010.
He retired following the 2015 NFL season, went into seminary, and now serves as lead pastor of Citylight Bennington Church in Elkhorn, Nebraska. In this episode of “Get in the Game,” he reflects with Scott Linebrink on his football career, the people responsible for leading him to Christ, and how an opportunity to share his story in front of an audience ultimately led to his post-playing career as a pastor.
“Get in the Game” is part of the Sports Spectrum Podcast Network.
