THIS IS THE SPORTS SPECTRUM PODCAST
Duke Preston is the Tampa Bay Buccaneers director of player engagement. He joined Tampa prior to the 2015 season and his role focuses on the personal and professional growth of players through guidance and support. He also serves as the team chaplain.
Preston was an NFL offensive lineman for five seasons with the Bills, Packers and Cowboys, before retiring in 2010 at the age of 28. He then went to work as an area director in Dallas with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, earned his master’s degree in Christian education from the Dallas Theological Seminary, and then worked at the University of Notre Dame in a variety of roles, including player and spiritual development.
On today’s podcast, Preston shares about his role with the Buccaneers, the importance of Christ in his life, the journey of 2020 and winning a Super Bowl, and what discipleship looked like this season.
