SS PODCAST: Virginia Tech softball star Emma Ritter on success, faith, identity

THIS IS THE SPORTS SPECTRUM PODCAST
WITH JASON ROMANO, FEATURING EMMA RITTER

Emma Ritter is a sophomore outfielder with the Virginia Tech softball team, and one of the top hitters for one of the best teams in the nation. She is one of the top two Hokies in batting average, runs scored, hits, doubles, RBIs, total bases and stolen bases. In her freshman year, she helped lead Virginia Tech to the NCAA Super Regionals, but they hope for a deeper run this season.

In high school, Ritter was one of the top players in the state of Maryland, was named all-conference each of her four years, and was twice named the Varsity Sports Network Player of the Year.

Today on the podcast, we talk to Ritter about the culture within the Virginia Tech softball team, developing strong relationships with her teammates, playing for an audience of One, and how following Christ has become the No. 1 purpose for her life.
