SS PODCAST: Ole Miss coach Mike Clement on lessons from God, winning College World Series

Mike Clement is an assistant on the Ole Miss baseball staff, serving as the team’s hitting coach and third-base coach since the 2015 season. In 2022, he was part of the Rebels’ College World Series championship run and helped his club score 82 runs in 11 postseason games, while never being shut out. They outscored their opponents 82-25 (a +57 scoring margin) and hit 17 home runs during those 11 games.

A former college catcher, Clement played two seasons at Kirkwood Junior College (Cedar Rapids, Iowa), helping the Eagles compile a 91-25 record. He completed his college career at Morningside University (Sioux City, Iowa), where he earned his bachelor’s degree in physical education/secondary education in 2002. Following college, the Marshalltown, Iowa, native played professionally for one season with the Canton Coyotes of the Frontier League.

Today on the podcast, we talk to Mike Clement about winning the 2022 College World Series, the lessons he learned during the highs and lows of last season, the importance of humility, and seeking God in all circumstances.
