SS PODCAST: Olympic swimmer Hunter Armstrong on the Paris Games, putting God first

THIS IS THE SPORTS SPECTRUM PODCAST
WITH COLE CLAYBOURN, FEATURING HUNTER ARMSTRONG

Hunter Armstrong is a swimmer for the United States looking to compete in his second Olympics this summer at the Paris Games. In 2021 at the Tokyo Olympics, he earned a gold medal in the 4×100-meter medley relay by competing in the prelims.

Since then, he’s won 15 world championship medals (seven gold, three silver, five bronze), set the world record in the 50m backstroke (23.71 seconds, but it has since been lowered to 23.55 by Russia’s Kliment Kolesnikov), and established himself as one of the premier backstrokers in the world. In Paris, he figures to be a medal contender in the 50m and 100m backstroke events, and be on numerous relay teams for the U.S.

Today on the podcast, we talk to Hunter Armstrong about his Tokyo Olympic experience, his journey with Jesus, and his preparation for the 2024 Olympics in Paris.
