Bills Hall of Famer Jim Kelly thanks everyone for prayers as he prepares for cancer surgery

Jim Kelly is headed to New York City today as he prepares for major cancer surgery on Wednesday. The operation will consist of three doctors reconstructing his upper jaw using leg bone and blood vessels.

Kelly confirmed his cancer returned earlier this month. He was diagnosed with oral cancer back in 2013, but had been cancer free since September of 2014 until his recent news.

He shared his thanks to everyone who is praying for him on his wife Jill’s Instagram page.

“Me and my family, as we head out, we know that you got our back,” Kelly said. “I know that we only look to one place, and that’s the good Lord for everything we receive. And I know this is just the start of something great.”

His wife Jill shared her thanks to the many people who are lifting Jim and her family up to prayer.

“God is good … whether we walk through the valley or celebrate on the mountain top. He never changes! He is always faithful! Thank you for praying! We love and appreciate you! Exodus 14:14”

“The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.” – Exodus 14:14

Join us in praying for Jim Kelly and the entire Kelly family.
