SS PODCAST: Heisman Trophy winner Bryce Young on his relationship with his dad, trusting God

Bryce Young is the starting quarterback for the Alabama Crimson Tide. In 2021, he won the Heisman Trophy and was named AP College Football Player of the Year after throwing for 4,872 yards and 48 touchdowns, leading Alabama to 13 wins and a berth in the College Football National Championship Game.

In high school, Young was a standout QB at Mater Dei High School in Santa Ana, California. As a senior, he was California’s Gatorade Football Player of the Year after throwing for 4,528 yards and 58 touchdowns. He was also the USA Today High School Offensive Player of the Year.

Today on the podcast, we talk to Bryce Young about the excitement he has in preparing for the 2022 season, the importance of faith in Jesus, the bond he and his dad Craig share, and what discipleship looks like for him at Alabama.
