“And the LORD said to Joshua, ‘Today I will begin to exalt you in the eyes of all Israel, so they may know that I am with you as I was with Moses.'” – Joshua 3:7

God Is With Us

In the book of Joshua, Moses has just passed away. Joshua is given the responsibility of taking the children of Israel into the land God had promised them after the 40 years they had wandered in the wilderness.

What an opportunity for Joshua. Yet, while this was an awesome opportunity, there were many responsibilities and hardships to go along with it. The children of Israel were known for being stubborn and hard to please. Joshua knew that by himself he could not step in and take the place of Moses.

Imagine how Jim Caldwell felt after taking over for Tony Dungy, or Aaron Rodgers taking over for Brett Favre. These were very difficult circumstances for these men.

In our lives, we will have situations where life will be difficult. We will have to learn to balance responsibilities, answer difficult questions or persevere through trials. But just as God was with Joshua, He will be with us. God has promised that He will give us the strength and ability to get through each trial and circumstances He allows into our life.
