Chase Daniel has played 11 seasons in the NFL. The quarterback recently signed a three-year contract with the Detroit Lions, after spending the past two years in Chicago.
He entered the league as an undrafted free agent in 2009 with the New Orleans Saints, who won Super Bowl XLIV his first season. After four years there, Daniel joined Kansas City for three seasons, moved to Philadelphia for 2016, went back to the Saints for 2017, and then joined the Bears for two seasons before signing with Detroit in March.
In college, Daniel was the 2007 Big 12 Offensive Player of the Year at Missouri and a Heisman Trophy finalist, but he went undrafted in 2009.
Daniel now also hosts a new internet show called “Chase Chats,” which feature interviews with former teammates and friends on a variety of topics.
On this episode of the podcast, we talk to Daniel about his contract with the Lions, his “Chase Chats” show, the adjustments he’s made being home during this pandemic, his journey to faith in Jesus, and how his time in Philadelphia was particularly encouraging to him and helped him become a better spiritual leader.
“Always be joyful. Never stop praying. Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus.”
