THIS IS EPISODE 560 OF THE SPORTS SPECTRUM PODCAST
Andre Levrone Jr. is a former NFL wide receiver. He was undrafted out of college but was signed by the Baltimore Ravens and spent parts of three seasons with Baltimore, Carolina and Jacksonville before retiring at the age of 25 in 2020.
For college, he attended the University of Virginia, where he played in 22 games, catching 46 passes for 864 yards and eight touchdowns. He was also a standout wide receiver in high school, helping Our Lady of Good Counsel High School (Olney, Md.) win four straight Maryland state championships.
On today’s podcast, we talk to Levrone about walking away from the NFL dream before the dream could happen, why it’s important for him to read God’s Word out of adoration and not obligation, and how his faith in Christ was tested multiple times after suffering injuries in high school and college.
