SS PODCAST: Golf reporter Chantel McCabe on regaining her faith, finding purpose in her work

Chantel McCabe is a media personality who covers golf for SiriusXM, PGA Tour Live and ESPN. She has previously worked with The Golf Channel as an anchor and reporter on-site at PGA Tour and LPGA Tour events, NCAA golf events, and World Long Drive competitions. She also worked with FOX Sports Carolinas covering the Carolina Hurricanes NHL franchise as the network’s pre-game show host, rink-side reporter and a producer.

McCabe’s broadcasting career began in college at the University of New Hampshire with the New England Sports Network (NESN) as an on-air and online reporter. She also hosted UNH athletic events on WBIN, an independent broadcasting network in Boston, and generated features and online game coverage for Hockey East, a college hockey league. She also served as a reporter for UNH’s award-winning newspaper and for its athletic department.

Today on the podcast, McCabe talks about her media career covering golf, losing and regaining her faith, the importance of intentional prayer, covering the Masters, and finding new purpose in her job.
