THIS IS THE SPORTS SPECTRUM PODCAST
WITH JADE MCCARTHY, FEATURING DAVID POLLACK
David Pollack is a college football analyst for ESPN. He joined the network in 2009 and has been a staple on its signature college football show, “College Gameday,” each Saturday morning in the fall.
He’s a former NFL player who was selected 17th overall in the 2005 draft by the Cincinnati Bengals. But his career was cut short after he broke a cervical vertebra in a 2006 game against the Cleveland Browns.
In college, Pollack was a defensive end at the University of Georgia, where he became just the second Bulldog to be named a three-time All-American (Heisman Trophy winner Herschel Walker was the first). He was also the 2002 SEC Player of the Year, the 2003 and 2004 Ted Hendricks Award winner, and inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2020.
On this episode of the podcast, Jade McCarthy talks to David Pollack about his favorite “College Gameday” moments, parenting his children well, and trusting in God to lead him as he leads his family.
We don't have to choose between staying close to God and staying on course.
Staying close to Him is staying on course. But staying on course doesn't mean staying comfortable.
He is the Way, in our wilderness seasons and mountaintop moments. #EveryDayCounts
