Seattle Seahawks Defensive End Michael Bennett has played in two Super Bowls, two Pro Bowls and was a part of the 2013 Seahawks team that beat Denver in Super Bowl XLIX.
Bennett has always been one of the more outspoken players in the NFL. Last year, he called on professional athletes to speak up and promote social change.
Today, on his Instagram page, Number 72 pledged to donate all of his endorsement money in 2017 to help causes that rebuild minority communities and empower women of color.
“The system is failing our kids, and it will be up to the community and our leaders to help keep the hope alive by focusing on improving our education system and the future of our kids,” Bennett said. “Any company that decides to invest in me, just know that you’ll be investing in opportunities and providing inspiration for these families — many who feel unnoticed or go unmentioned.”

Bennett talked aboutĀ using his platform to create change on ESPN’s Mike and Mike in the Morning back in January.
