Oakland Raiders quarterback Derek Carr agreed to a new five year contract extension today worth $125 million, making him the NFL’s highest paid player according to NFL.com.
The deal, reported by ESPN’s Adam Schefter, means Carr, at 26 years old, is signed with Oakland through the 2022 season.
Carr tweeted his excitement about the new deal and stated that he can now move his focus to on the field and the upcoming 2017 season.
