Now the pair is teaming up again, this time with a $90,000 donation to secure Chromebooks for students in the New York metropolitan area who have been forced to do their schoolwork at home during the coronavirus pandemic.
“They were going through a problem, which is not having enough devices to administer to the students,” Jason told CBS New York. “We do a lot of work in education. It is something that we feel is very important, so we thought, ‘Why not?’ Start here.”
The @McCourtyTwins will be on with me tonight @CBSNewYork at 6:20. They donated 90 thousand dollars to East Ramapo and Nyack School districts for chrome books for students. They could use more donations. https://t.co/j9sWmaRc8B pic.twitter.com/g7sHWqKxsf

The McCourty brothers are from Nyack, N.Y., and went to high school in New Jersey before both attended Rutgers University in New Jersey.
“We went to Nyack School District, East Ramapo School District, growing up,” Devin said, “so this was a way to kind of pay it forward to everyone that sacrificed for us, whether it was sports, academics, while we were in those schools. We’re just trying to help these kids the same way people helped us.”
Jason and Devin have a website, mccourtytwins.com, where they direct fans to donate to the “Chromebooks for Kids” fund to provide more assistance for kids in the area. The brothers launched the fund in partnership with the Rockland Community Foundation.
The McCourty twins share a desire to give back that stems from their relationship with Christ, and they have been guests together on the Sports Spectrum Podcast in 2019. Devin was also featured in the Fall 2019 edition of the Sports Spectrum Magazine, where he explained how his faith in Christ deepened during a trying period of his life in 2014.
“I think that’s when my life really turned and I decided I would be living for something way bigger than myself,” Devin said. “It’s continued to grow since then, in my faith individually with talking to God and working on that relationship.”
In a video for The Increase, the McCourty brothers shared their thoughts about the power of the resurrection.

“[Jesus] lived a perfect life, a life with out sin, but still, He decided to go on that cross and die for individuals that lived with sin their entire lives,” Jason said. “He gave that up for us.”
Devin has spent his entire career with the New England Patriots beginning in 2010 and has won three Super Bowls.
Jason entered the league in 2009 with the Tennessee Titans and played in Cleveland for a year in 2017. He spent the last two with New England, where he won his first Super Bowl with a 13-3 victory over the Los Angeles Rams in 2018. His twin brother was by his side.
