THIS IS THE TABLE FORTY PODCAST
WITH MATT AND LESLEE HOLLIDAY
Editor’s Note: This conversation was recorded prior to Chris Davis announcing his retirement from professional baseball.
Chris Davis recently retired from Major League Baseball after 13 seasons, during several of which he was heralded as one of the game’s best power hitters. He finished his career with 295 career home runs and 780 RBIs, highlighted by a 2013 campaign in which he clubbed a league-high 53 home runs and 138 RBIs. That season he was named an American League All-Star.
He and his wife, Jill, are heavily involved in various charitable efforts and plan to continue doing so even in retirement. They talk with Matt and Leslee Holliday on the podcast this week about life during baseball, how they each came to know Jesus, and how important it is to serve others in need.
