THIS IS THE SPORTS SPECTRUM PODCAST
WITH JASON ROMANO, FEATURING LEAH CHURCH
Leah Church is a former college basketball player for the University of North Carolina, where she played three seasons on full scholarship and majored in exercise and sport science with a concentration in sport administration.
During her three-year career as a Tar Heel, she was a prolific 3-point shooter, making 95 shots from the behind the arc at a 39% clip. She also excelled at the free-throw line, making 89% of her shots. After her junior season, however, Church decided to walk away from the basketball team and her college career to focus on her faith, taking a stance for Christ.
Today on the podcast, we talk to Church about her basketball journey, achieving the dream of playing for UNC, taking a stance for Jesus, and why she felt compelled to walk away from college basketball.
