THIS IS THE SPORTS SPECTRUM PODCAST
WITH JASON ROMANO, FEATURING JAKE REED

Jake Reed is a pitcher with the New York Mets. He was selected in the fifth round of the 2014 MLB Draft by Minnesota, and after seven years of minor league baseball, he made his MLB debut on July 6, 2021, with the Los Angeles Dodgers. After six games, however, he was no longer with the Dodgers, and found himself a few days later as a member of the Mets.

Jake is married to Janie Reed, a member of Team USA’s softball team, which won a silver medal at the Tokyo Summer Olympics.

Today on the podcast, we talk to Jake about his crazy 2021, clinging to his faith in God, making his MLB debut, and cheering on his wife at the Summer Olympics.
