Detroit Pistons Center Andre Drummond is one of the best rebounders in the NBA.
The 6’11 big man from UCONN has averaged more than 13 rebounds per game in each of his last 4 seasons. In 2016, he was named an NBA All-Star and the past two seasons, he’s led the league in total rebounds.
He has continued to play at a dominant level on the boards, and has been a very important part of the Pistons core nucleus of players.
Despite his dominance on the boards, Drummond’s first 5 seasons have revealed things on the court that he needs to improve on, including his offensive moves and his free throw shooting.
But it is away from the court, that Drummond shared what he has improved on the most over the past 5 years.
His faith.
Drummond took to twitter after the Pistons opening night win over the Hornets Wednesday Night and answered a question that was sent to him by a fan.
My faith in Christ
— Andre Drummond (@AndreDrummond) October 19, 2017
The Bible reminds us to continue to seek God, and to “leave the elementary teaching about the Christ,” and “press on to maturity.” (Hebrews 6:1)
It also says in 1 Peter 2:2, that we are to continue to grow in our faith.
“like newborn babies, long for the pure milk of the word, so that by it you may grow in respect to salvation.”
Let us celebrate with Andre Drummond, that his faith in Christ is continuing to grow and be encouraged in our own spiritual lives, that God wants us to continue to pursue Him and grow in Him.
