THIS IS THE SPORTS SPECTRUM PODCAST
WITH JASON ROMANO, FEATURING JONI TAYLOR
Joni Taylor is the women’s basketball head coach at Texas A&M. In high school, she was the 1997 Gatorade Player of the Year in the state of Mississippi, and she went on to play at Alabama from 1997-2001.
After her playing career was over, she turned to coaching, which has included stops at Troy, Louisiana Tech, Alabama, LSU and Georgia as an assistant before being named the head coach at Georgia in 2015. During her time with the Bulldogs, she led them to the NCAA Tournament four times and won 20 games in four of her seven seasons. On March 23, 2022, she was announced as the new head coach for Texas A&M.
Today on the podcast, we talk to Coach Taylor about the lessons she learned in her first year at Texas A&M, the importance of her faith in Jesus, and how her walk with Christ influences the way she coaches.
Your potential is God's gift to you….what you do with it is your gift back to God!!
