Cornerback Joe Haden says "My God doesn't make mistakes" after his release by the Browns

The Browns released 2-time pro bowl cornerback Joe Haden today after seven seasons in Cleveland.

Selected 7th overall in the first round of the 2010 NFL Draft, Joe immediately became a staple at cornerback for Cleveland’s defense but coaches and management felt that his skills had diminished, and thus, announced they had released him from is contract today.

Haden shared his gratitude to the Browns in a post on his Instagram page.

“I would first like to take the time to thank the browns fans all around the world from the bottom of my heart for making Cleveland a happy home for me for the past 7 years. I want to also thank my coaches, the organization and especially my teammates who have become family. My God doesn’t make mistakes and I know the future is bright.”

Haden, who has the hashtag #God1st listen in his Instagram bio, is expected to sign a new deal with the Pittsburgh Steelers, according to ESPN.
