College Football Game of the Week: Florida State vs Alabama

Let the college football season officially begin!

And what a great matchup with #1 Alabama taking on #3 Florida State at Mercedes Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia.

Here are a couple keys to the game:

Alabama: If sophomore quarterback Jalen Hurts is able to attack Florida State with his arm and his legs, then watch out! Hurts tossed 23 touchdowns with only 9 interceptions last year, but can he show great maturity as a passes in year number 2 as the starter? If so, then Alabama will have a great shot at winning another opener against a ranked opponent.

Florida State: This is simple for the Noles. Can sophomore quarterback Deondre Francois do his best Deshaun Watson impersonation? Francois will have several weapons at his fingertips in wide receivers Nyqwan Murray, Auden Tate and Keith Gavin. Biggest question: Can the offensive line can keep Francois upright? If so, then I see Florida State taking this one in a tight game.

Predictions:

Jason Romano: Florida State 35 – Alabama 31

Justin Adams: Florida State 27 – Alabama 24
