THIS IS EPISODE 577 OF THE SPORTS SPECTRUM PODCAST

Vernon Fox played eight seasons in the NFL with the Chargers, Lions, Broncos and Washington. He was undrafted in 2002 coming out of Fresno State, where he was a two-time first-team All-WAC member.

Following his playing career, Fox went into coaching and was the head football coach of Faith Lutheran High School in Las Vegas from 2013-2019. He guided his team to a 53-28 record and a Class 3A state championship in his seven years.

On today’s podcast, we talk to Fox about stepping away from coaching in 2020, his welcome-to-the-NFL moment, playing for legendary coaches Mike Shanahan, Joe Gibbs and Marty Schottenheimer, and how he went from self-reliant to God-dependent.
