Adam Wainwright is a starting pitcher for the St Louis Cardinals. In his 14th season with the Cards, Adam is a 2-time World Series Champion (2006, 2011), a 3-time All Star and a 2-time Gold Glove winner.
He was selected in the first round of the 2000 MLB Amateur Draft by the Atlanta Braves, his hometown team. In December 2003, Adam was traded to the Cardinals in a 5 player deal.
In September 2005, he made his Major League debut and has been a part of the Cardinals franchise ever since.
