THIS IS THE TABLE FORTY PODCAST
WITH MATT AND LESLEE HOLLIDAY
Skip Schumaker is a former Major League Baseball player whose career spanned 11 seasons, including stints with the St. Louis Cardinals, Los Angeles Dodgers and Cincinnati Reds. He was a member of two World Series championship teams with the Cardinals in 2006 and 2011, when he was a teammate with Matt Holliday.
The San Diego Padres hired Schumaker in 2017, a little more than a year after he retired, as their first-base coach, a role he served in until the 2020 season, when he was promoted to associate manager.
Skip and his wife, Lindsey, have remained good friends with Matt and Leslee, and joined them on the podcast this week to talk about baseball, family and faith. Lindsey and Skip also shared their experiences with infertility, and Skip and Matt reminisced on some funny memories during their time playing together.
