Mike Sweeney played 16 seasons in the major leagues with the Kansas City Royals, Oakland Athletics, Seattle Mariners and Philadelphia Phillies. He spent most of his career with the Royals, where he was named to five All-Star games.
He and his wife, Shara, married in 2002, and in today’s podcast they share the story of how they met through baseball and how their faith is the driving force in their relationship. They also talk about parenting, life while in professional baseball, and what they’re up to since Mike retired.
