NFL tight end Benjamin Watson shares his story of sports and faith

Benjamin Watson is a tight end for the New Orleans Saints. He was selected in the first round of the 2004 NFL Draft by the New England Patriots. He earned a Super Bowl ring in his rookie season and went on to play in a second Super Bowl in the 2007 season against the New York Giants.

In March 2010, Watson signed a three-year deal with the Cleveland Browns. In 2013, he signed a three-year deal with the New Orleans Saints. In 2016, he signed a two-year deal with the Baltimore Ravens and in 2018, he signed a one-year deal to return to the Saints.

Watson is also an author who wrote his first book, “Under Our Skin: Getting Real About Race — And Getting Free From the Fears and Frustrations That Divide Us” in 2015.

In 2017, he released his second book, “The New Dad’s Playbook: Gearing Up for the Biggest Game of Your Life.”

Watson is a follower of Jesus Christ and shared his Christian testimony with The Increase.
