Most Viewed In 2025: #2 – Eagles QB Jalen Hurts knows ‘God is greater than any high or low’

With 2025 coming to a close, Sports Spectrum is highlighting our most-viewed stories of the year.

Leading up to Super Bowl LIX in New Orleans, much of the talk centered around the Kansas City Chiefs having a chance to win an unprecedented third consecutive Super Bowl, and the Philadelphia Eagles having a chance at redemption after falling to the Chiefs two years prior in the championship game.

So of course Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts was asked what he hoped would be different this time around.

“I’d like to win the game,” he said simply.

And he did, in fact — a 40-22 demolition of the Chiefs, after which Hurts was also named the game’s MVP. And moments following the big win, Hurts expressed his faith in God’s greatness.

“God is good. He’s greater than all the highs and the lows,” Hurts told Fox Sports on the field.

That’s a sentiment he shared earlier in the week too.

“My faith has always been a part of me,” Hurts told Sports Spectrum. “I’ve always wanted to root myself in that and keep Him in the center of my life and everything that I do. So through the highs and the lows, He’s greater than all of them, and that’s something that I can always acknowledge.”

Three days before Super Bowl LIX, Sports Spectrum published a story about Hurts’ spiritual growth during the 2024-25 season, in which Eagles chaplain Ted Winsley said, “This was the year Jalen came to me … about the need for spiritual growth and maturity, and for spiritual leadership.”

On Super Bowl Sunday, with so much of the country watching the Eagles put the hurt on the Chiefs, heavy traffic flowed to our story about Hurts’ faith. It ends the year as our No. 2 most-viewed story in 2025:
