Rhett Lashlee was named the head football coach at Southern Methodist University on Nov. 30, 2021. This is his first head coaching job after serving as an offensive assistant and coordinator for more than a decade with programs like Miami (Florida), Auburn and Connecticut.

In 2018 and 2019, he was SMU’s offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach, before taking the same roles at Miami for 2020 and 2021.

Today on the podcast, we talk to Coach Lashlee about his decision to return to SMU, the importance of culture, trusting in God’s guidance, and how he’s grown as a coach the past few years.
