THIS IS THE SPORTS SPECTRUM PODCAST
WITH JASON ROMANO, FEATURING TROY WALTERS
Troy Walters is the wide receivers coach for the Cincinnati Bengals. In 2021, he helped rookie receiver Ja’Marr Chase break numerous NFL records and was a part of a team that won the AFC championship and played in Super Bowl LVI.
In college, Walters was a standout receiver at Stanford, and in his senior season of 1999 he was named first-team All-American and won the Fred Biletnikoff Award as college football’s most outstanding receiver. He went on to be a fifth-round selection by the Minnesota Vikings and play eight NFL seasons with the Vikings, Colts, Cardinals and Lions.
Today on the podcast, we talk to Walters about the 2021 Bengals’ run to the Super Bowl, finding the positive in the midst of a tough season-ending loss, seeing coaching as a calling, and how he’s grown in his relationship with Jesus during his playing and coaching career.
